Drawing from our treasured collection of traditional European recipes, we make these cookies only during the holiday season. Each of these recipes is redolent with spices and they all are fantastic with coffee or tea!
Our ornaments are made of a very durable volcanic ash/paper pulp mix and are hand-painted by Lancaster County artists using traditional, rich Pennsylvania Dutch colors.
Springerle cookies were among the traditional ornaments used to adorn Pennsylvania German tabletop trees. Ours are handmade, one at a time, as they have been for hundreds of years.
Welcome to the Springerle House
Welcome to the Springerle House, where we continue the tradition of making springerle cookies in historic Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our family has been making springerle cookies here in the heart of PA Dutch Country for over 100 years. We love what we do, and hope you´ll enjoy our cookies and ornaments as much as we enjoy making them. Thanks for visiting our site...we hope you enjoy this taste of the past!
