Welcome to the Springerle HouseWelcome to the Springerle House, where we continue the tradition of making springerle cookies in historic Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our family has been making springerle cookies here in the heart of PA Dutch Country for over 100 years. We love what we do, and hope you´ll enjoy our cookies and ornaments as much as we enjoy making them. Thanks for visiting our site...we hope you enjoy this taste of the past! Cookie Molds![]() We make our springerle cookie molds by hand right here in the heart of PA Dutch Country, Lancaster County, PA. The majority of molds in our collection are cast from centuries-old European originals dating back, in some cases, to the 16th century! We make them from a mixture of wood pulp and resin, and they are safe for food use. We have many hundreds of designs to choose from, and our inventory keeps growing! We now have the capability to make castings of your antique wooden molds, allowing you to keep your priceless antiques for display, and use the replica for your cookie-making! If we accept your mold into our casting program, this service is free of charge to you. Please contact us for further details. | Edible Cookies![]() These boxes make wonderful gifts...or enjoy as a special treat for yourself! Available boxed plain, highlighted with edible gold, and with a hand-painted ornament to match one of the cookie designs in the box! Choice of traditional anise and many other wonderful flavors. Handpainted Ornaments![]() Our ornaments are made of a VERY DURABLE volcanic ash/wood pulp mixture & hand-painted by Lancaster County artists using traditional, rich Pennsylvania Dutch colors. Each piece is signed and has "Lanc. Co, PA" written on the back, with the year it was painted. See the Our Artists page for more information on this talented group! Cookie Ornaments![]() Springerle cookies were among the traditional ornaments used to adorn Pennsylvania German tabletop trees. Ours are handmade, one at a time, as they have been for hundreds of years. These are actual springerle cookies, but have been cured to harden for many months, and are ribboned with pretty gold ribbon. |
